Talent pool, AI assistant, activity feed — May update

May's update is about depth: deeper candidate management, a smarter in-app assistant, and a new way to track what's happening across your hunts in real time.

Talent pool

Talent pool view showing saved candidate profiles organized by tags and hunt history.

Candidates you've engaged with don't disappear anymore. The talent pool is a persistent, searchable library of every candidate who's been through Umamy — across all your hunts.

  • Browse all past candidates in one place
  • Filter by tags, hunt, pipeline stage, and reply status
  • Re-engage candidates from previous hunts without re-sourcing
  • Useful for roles that come up repeatedly or referral tracking

Great candidates don't expire. Now you can actually keep them.

AI assistant

In-app AI assistant chat interface showing a question about top candidates and an AI-generated answer with profile links.

Ask questions about your pipeline in plain language. The AI assistant has full context on your candidates, conversations, and scorecard results.

Examples of what it can answer:

  • "Which candidates replied positively this week?"
  • "Who scores highest on the technical criteria for the Paris hunt?"
  • "Summarize the conversation history with Marc D."

AI assistant follow-up conversation showing a drill-down into candidate details and suggested next steps.

No dashboard-diving. Just ask.

Activity feed

Activity feed panel showing a chronological stream of candidate events: replies, connection acceptances, and stage changes.

A live feed of everything happening across your hunts: new replies, connection acceptances, stage changes, notes added, and candidates shortlisted. Filterable by hunt or event type.

Useful when you're running multiple hunts and need to triage without opening each one individually.

Scorecard improvements

Updated scorecard interface with weighted criteria, overall match percentage, and evidence snippets from candidate profiles.

Two scorecard updates this month:

Weighted criteria — Assign importance levels (must-have, nice-to-have, dealbreaker) to each criterion. The overall match score now reflects these weights.

Evidence snippets — For each scored criterion, Umamy shows the exact quote or data point from the candidate's profile or messages that informed the score.

Also shipped

Summary panel showing additional May newsletter features: mobile app improvements and bulk outreach controls.

  • Mobile app — Review candidates, read messages, and update pipeline stages from your phone
  • Bulk outreach pause — Pause outreach for all candidates in a hunt with one click — useful when you've found your hire and want to stop new messages going out
  • Candidate merge — Merge duplicate candidate profiles that came in from different sources
  • Hunt archiving — Archive completed hunts to keep your workspace clean without losing any data
